Hala Creative.

Websites built by hand, because assembled ones are slow.

Hala Creative builds websites for businesses in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf. Sites are written by hand rather than assembled from a theme and a stack of plugins, which is why they load quickly on mobile data, work in Arabic and English, and can be read by AI assistants as well as by Google. You own the result outright.

Why hand-built, and why it matters commercially

Most small business websites are a theme with twenty plugins layered on top. Each plugin adds code the visitor's phone must download and run before your page appears. The result is a site that looks acceptable on a designer's laptop and takes six seconds to appear on a phone on mobile data in a car park — which is where a large share of your visitors actually are.

That delay is not a technical footnote. It is people leaving before they see anything, and it is a ranking signal Google measures directly.

There is now a second reason. AI assistants read the web to answer questions, and most of them do not run JavaScript. A site that assembles its content in the browser can be effectively invisible to them — the page loads for a human and returns close to nothing for the model. Sites built here render their content in the HTML itself, so both audiences receive the same thing.

What is included

Design
Laid out for your content rather than fitted into a template, and designed on the phone screen first because that is where it will mostly be seen.
Build
Hand-written HTML and CSS, no page builder, no plugin stack, nothing to update or patch every month.
Search structure
Titles, headings, internal linking and structured data written into the build, not bolted on by a plugin afterwards.
AI readability
Content served in the HTML so assistants that do not execute JavaScript still receive the full page.
Arabic and English
Both versions properly built, with correct right-to-left layout rather than a mirrored English page.
Handover
Files, hosting setup, Search Console connected, and a walkthrough of how to edit what you will actually want to edit.

How a site gets built

Content before design. A layout designed around placeholder text collapses the moment real text arrives.

  1. Structure

What pages exist, what each one is for, and which search and AI questions each is meant to answer. Agreed before anything is drawn.

  2. Content

Copy written first — headings, body, questions and answers. Design then fits the content rather than the reverse.

  3. Design

Applied from your identity if you have one. If you do not, that is a separate conversation worth having first.

  4. Build and test

Hand-built, then checked on real phones and slow connections, not only in a desktop browser.

  5. Launch and index

Deployed, secured, submitted to Search Console, with sitemap and structured data verified as readable.

A site that takes six seconds on mobile data is not a slow site. It is an empty one.

Common questions

Do you build on WordPress?

Only when there is a specific reason to, such as a team that genuinely publishes often and needs an editor. For most business sites WordPress adds hosting cost, monthly security updates and page weight in exchange for an editor nobody ends up using. Hand-built sites load faster and require no maintenance.

Can I edit the site myself afterwards?

Yes, for the things people actually change — text, prices, opening hours, adding a page. You get a walkthrough at handover. What you do not get is a drag-and-drop builder that lets the layout be broken by accident, which is a deliberate trade.

Will the site work in Arabic?

Yes, and properly. Right-to-left layout is built rather than mirrored, Arabic typography is set with an appropriate typeface rather than a browser default, and each language version is given its own indexable URL so both can rank.

Do you handle hosting?

You keep ownership of hosting and domain in your own account, always. I will set it up and configure it, but the account stays in your name. Agencies that hold a client's hosting are holding the client, and that is not a relationship worth having.

What about e-commerce?

For selling online in Saudi Arabia, a platform like Salla or Zid usually serves better than a custom build, because payments, shipping and local compliance are already solved. In those cases the work is store setup, theming to your identity and content — with a separate marketing site where it makes sense.

Will the site rank on Google after launch?

Launching a well-built site removes the technical obstacles to ranking; it does not by itself create rankings. A new domain has no history and competes against sites with years of it. What the build guarantees is that nothing structural is holding you back — the rest is the ongoing work of content and mentions.
